Setting up a Google Plus account could bring big benefits your way when it comes to SEO results. Google has been testing an authorship method for the past two years. Many of our clients have already set up their own personal Google Plus accounts and are posting content to show up on the Google Plus format.
It is easy to set up a Google Plus account and it is free. Clients who are blogging regularly can have their articles appear in search results by being recognized as a Google Plus author. Google will verify the authorship of your content by associating it with your Google Plus profile. Do keep in mind that the content scanned by search engines must be worth reading, and be both personable and informative for web users. Many clients go a step further and hire creative writers to make sure their content is relevant and full of valuable key phrases to attract the target audience.
Using your Google Plus account, you may also establish a YouTube Channel associated with your account. YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine, and creating worthwhile videos on your YouTube Channel is an excellent method for gaining search engine visibility.
Google Plus Information:
- You must have a verified email address. The verified email address must be associated with your domain name to which you are adding new content.
- Each article must have a proper byline with your name included.
- The name must match the first and last name on your Google profile.
- If you do not have an email address associated with your domain name, you may insert a link from the domain name to your Google Plus account.
Be patient as it may take some time for your authorship information to appear in the Google search results. If you do not find your content, check back again in a few days.
