Bloggers use well-documented content for best SEO rank – part two

Dec 7, 2015

Well-documented content is the goal for all top bloggers. Additionally, the title (headline) of the post must be creative to keep the reader’s interest. Top search engines suggest no more than 72 characters in the title block. Once the blogger has decided on a headline, they go further by copying and pasting the choice into the Google search bar. This will determine how the title might rank in search results. A compelling and key-word rich title will work well for those searching for products and services. Top bloggers follow this path and by doing so, promote the client’s services to rank highly.

Bloggers create original and interesting content, and heading tags:

Along with title tags, accurate heading tags within the content, identify the meta descriptions. Professional bloggers write in a natural form describing what the content is about. This assists the reader to skim through the article quickly and efficiently. Bloggers know that each post will remain online indefinitely so special care is taken to be accurate and truthful. The new content will become critical for SEO and your social sharing. Each linked tag should encourage the human reader to click to read more. Although individual keywords rank lower than the actual overall content, they are still important for search. A blogger knows this and uses good keyword strategy

How often should bloggers post new content and how many words are suggested?

As one of the staff bloggers for our company, I post about every 7 to 10 days.  If you can arrange to have more posts per month and the posts are longer, you will probably do better with search results.  This has been reported recently in Google articles and other SEO studies. They are asking for larger posts, well-documented, and more is always better. Some posts showing up on top are over 1,000 words. If you are blogging for your own site this can be quite daunting. I do not claim to be a famous writer and simply do my best when adding post content. My time is limited and I cannot always post longer entries. For a fresh perspective, I do love to welcome guest bloggers once in a while. These professionals can be found online if you search. We also have a list of independent contractors that we refer who do this for a living. Our bloggers stay busy year round and are worth the price they charge. Some bloggers charge by the hour, but I have found those that charge per post may be the most cost-effective. If your budget doesn’t allow for this, you can become better over time by following great SEO methods. We refer regularly to Site Pro News and to other online information  to keep current with new requirements.

Holiday blogging techniques bring dividends:

shopping onlineAround the holidays, people are primed and ready to shop online. Hiring outside marketing specialists during the holidays will add substantially to your search results. Search engines pick up on savings and love to rank them highly. The bloggers we recommend, also send out a holiday newsletter which will include a specific savings. Gift coupons and year-end advertisements do well. Your blogger should include a “thanks for your business” note in each newsletter. It is also smart to tie in any new promotions to new year’s resolutions.
More and more shoppers are using mobile devices to shop online.  Remember this as you prepare your holiday ads and newsletters. Your website should be mobile-friendly to accept the added traffic at the holidays. If you are blogging yourself be sure to blog often and be accurate with all information.  If you have an outside blogger to assist you, send the blogger any new promotions to add to all holiday communication. Even Santa takes advantage of holiday savings.  Don’t miss out this year.
Think of others, be generous ..it is the right thing to do. Here is a favorite quote:
I have always thought of Christmas as a good time; a kind, forgiving, generous, pleasant time;
a time when men and women seem to open their hearts freely,  by Charles Dickens.
