Staying current with web design technology will ensure that your site is competitive and has the best chance for success. Today’s new technology offers the latest tools and provides the way forward in a quickly-changing online environment. Your target audience expects to see the latest in design and technology.
Gone are the days when you could simply put anything online and feel it would do well. This blog article will be discussing the sources available online and tips to help our viewers remain updated on the latest design skills.
Understanding user research:
To understand user research you must first determine what a user is searching for online. Why would they look for your website? What service or product do they need? Knowing this will help you to meet their expectations. Your website would then be designed and programmed correctly to attract the right visitors.
Look for research and testing offering insights, case studies, and other information relevant to your brand.
Design technology for keeping users:
All of us involved in programming and web design understand changes are constant. It takes effort on our part and time invested to stay current with web design technology. The term “It takes a village” really applies to us. Our associates, programmers, and designers spend a large part of our time on continuing education to stay ahead of the new web design technology as it is introduced. Otherwise, we would never be able to be competitive. Consumers have many choices when it comes to web design companies. Those who fall behind and are not willing to stay current with new trends quickly disappear from the environment.
Programming languages needed:
JavaScript along with PHP is the top technology today for web designers. We find that they are both very flexible and versatile. Using JavaScript we can work on both the front end and the back end of the website project. It also has strong community support online. Around 77.4% of all websites today use PHP applications and many of our programmers prefer PHP.
Others prefer JavaScript and it is simply a matter of choice. This is usually based upon the programming language they were first introduced to as they began their career. There are pros and cons for both JavaScript and PHP. Click on the link here to compare the differences between the two languages.
Our website design of the month:
Today we are showcasing our latest web design of the month, Sedation Lounge for Body Art. Please browse Sedation Lounge for body art (a recently published website) to see the great possibilities of new design techniques. One of the challenges of this design was the blending of Anesthesiologists and Tattoo Artists into a single site. Normally websites target a singular service.
Segregating the two services throughout the website was accomplished using unique page titles and content while referencing the second service in meaningful ways. The tattoo artists and the anesthesia nurse practitioners are showcased on the home page where they are linked to their separate service pages.

OWD News & Views:
Voice search is a hot new trend. This is a great way to boost your viewing audience. All Smartphones are equipped with a digital voice assistant and this is easy to use. It offers a “hands-free” convenient way to search the web. Voice search is very valuable for visually impaired folks or those who cannot type well. Voice search is also great for business and is affordable for most users.
E-commerce sites can optimize their shopping carts with voice search enabling buyers to quickly purchase items. They will be able to find the answers to questions quickly and to check out of the shop without clicking any buttons so once again (hands-free) use. Voice search has proven valuable for students in improving their speaking skills and also for simplifying educational materials.
